I do whatever I feel passionate about, sometimes it’s photography sometimes it’s painting. I go through phases where I want to do nothing but play my saxophone and then I’ll go through a phase of shooting and editing everyday. I just really like to create. My work doesn’t always convey a specific idea or deep meaning. I don’t think art has to. What I do is always changing and evolving and developing; it keeps things interesting. I love traveling, meeting new people and seeing new things so I have a mix of concepts and inspirations. Nature has always been inspiring to me and I’ve always been very interested in people, as a whole and as individuals. Everyone is different, everyone has a story. Sorry if it sounds cheesy, but the beauty I find in nature is absolutely overwhelming to me. My appreciation for falling leaves is something I’ve always wished I could share with everyone. Another major source of inspiration of course is other artists. What would we do without each other?? :)

As far as background goes, I started drawing when I was really little. I developed my freehand skills and eye for composition by drawing a lot of cartoons and celebrities. When I was eleven I picked up the saxophone and carried it through college with a BA in music. High school opened up a couple of different artistic avenues for me. I started modeling when I was fifteen and did that for a couple of years. It got me interested in being behind the camera so towards the end of high school I got a point and shoot camera (thanks Daddy) and played around with it a little, but when I went to college it fell to the back burner. I’d been in a love/hate relationship with painting since my freshman year in high school and really didn’t make amends with it until I was well into my college career. In my sophomore year of college photography became a serious pursuit for me and I haven’t really put it down since (thanks Jamie).

Now I live in Raleigh, NC with the love of my life and Cody who is the best dog ever (thanks Lady). I work as a freelance artist and photographer, available to travel the world for projects and assignments. My current goal is to simply devote time to my craft(s) and share my work with as many people as possible. I’m ready to travel everywhere and do everything...
